Sarah Foster-Sproull - Choreographic Workshop facilitator

Sarah Foster-Sproull is an acclaimed contemporary choreographer and performer working in New Zealand and internationally with a significant body of work in contemporary dance, ballet and film.

Sarah is Artistic Director of Foster Group Dance, Choreographer in Residence at The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Resident Fellow at the Centre for Ballet and The Arts at New York University ('21) and Session Choreographer for the New York Choreographic Institute (’21). Sarah has been the Creative New Zealand Choreographic Fellow (2017) and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, in Dance Studies.

Sarah was the 2019 Director of Choreography for the World of Wearable Art. She is a distinguished graduate of the New Zealand School of Dance and holds a Master in Dance Studies from the University of Auckland. In 2023 Sarah will develop and present new choreography in Auckland, Edinburgh and New York.
